Since the Foundation was established in 2000, the Whitefish Community Foundation has awarded over $1.6 million from the Community Grants Program to local nonprofits. The program was recently revised to be administered on a quarterly basis to allow more opportunity for nonprofits to apply for funding. The quarterly cycle also allows it to work in conjunction with the Great Fish Community Challenge, another annual grant program of Whitefish Community Foundation. The Foundation is pleased to announce that 16 charities are receiving grants from the the Community Grant program. The total amount awarded in the winter cycle is $35,155.
Funding for the Community Grant Program comes from the Circle of Giving and unrestricted gifts to the Foundation. Whitefish Community Foundation’s Community Grants spring cycle is open for applications and will close on June 28th.
