USE OF FUNDS

YOUR USE OF FUNDS

Organizations must designate how they will spend funds raised during the campaign. Gifts received during the campaign must be allocated to your Primary and/or Secondary Use of Funds.

Your Use of Funds statement will be widely published. It should be easy to understand and reflect the impact of your project or program to prospective donors. 

This Use of Funds must be approved by your board of directors. Minutes or a resolution documenting approval of the Use of Funds by your board of directors will be uploaded into this application. 

Your primary Use of Funds may be one of the following: 

  1. General operating and program support 
    • Descriptive program statement, OR 
    • Board approved Mission Statement 
  2. Large Capital Project or specific program
     
         
  3. Permanent Endowment Fund held at Whitefish Community Foundation

If you are concerned you may raise more than you need to support your Primary Use of Funds, you may designate a Secondary Use of Funds. If you do not require a Secondary Use of Funds, enter N/A.

If your Primary Use of Funds is general operating expenses and programs, your Secondary Use of Funds may only be:

  1. Permanent Endowment Fund held at Whitefish Community Foundation.

If your Primary Use of Funds is a capital project or a specific program, your Secondary Use of Funds may be one of the following:

  1. Mission Statement or description programs statement, OR
  2. Permanent Endowment Fund held at Whitefish Community Foundation
