Montana Coffee Traders has been roasting coffee in a vintage farmhouse just south of Whitefish since 1981. With a current team of over 115 people across four Flathead Valley locations, MCT strives to be a positive part of people’s everyday lives. As the company continues to grow and evolve, MCT works constantly to deepen roots in the local community and further develop a connection to coffee farmers around the world.

The Montana Coffee Traders Scholarship Fund was established at Whitefish Community Foundation in 2020. Two scholarships are awarded annually to college-bound students. One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to an eligible MCT employee or to a child or legal dependent of a current MCT employee. The second $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to an eligible Flathead Valley resident. The Montana Coffee Traders Scholarship will accept applications from February 27 to April 6, 2023 at 5 p.m.  Successful high school candidates will accept this scholarship at their high school award ceremony.
