Whitefish Community Foundation will host a workshop on Oct. 12 for nonprofit organizations interested in planning an effective strategy for end-of-year fundraising. The online workshop is part of the foundation’s Nonprofit Development Partnership (NpDP) and is offered free of charge to participants.
Chany Ockert will present “What To Do Now for Year-end Giving” on Thursday, Oct. 12 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Advance registration is required at whitefishcommunityfoundation.org/nonprofit-trainings to receive the Zoom link for the workshop.
Ockert is a Certified Fund Raising Executive who specializes in adapting fundraising best practices and lessons to meet the specialized needs of her nonprofit clients. According to Ockert, 31% of all annual charitable giving occurs in December, with 12% of gifts made in the last three days of the year. “These numbers highlight the need for a well planned year-end giving strategy,” she said.
In this fast-paced workshop, participants will learn about using physical and digital fundraising appeals, segmenting donor audiences, and stewarding and thanking donors. “Whether you are new to year-end planning or looking to tweak your established plan, this session will assist your organization to have a successful year-end giving season,” Ockert said.
The Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation is a sponsor of NpDP, partnering with Whitefish Community Foundation to bring quality nonprofit training to local nonprofits free of charge.
