FLATHEAD CANCER AID SERVICES received $30,655 from the 2017 Great Fish Challenge. One patient we are assisting is a seventy-three-year gentleman, diagnosed in 2014, on a fixed income for two of $950/month. He continues to struggle with the extra costs of living that cancer has created. We recently paid for new tires, brakes, and a new windshield for his vehicle. For a rent reduction during the winter months, he plows snow on the property for the other tenants. To continue to do so this winter repairs on his plow were needed so we paid for those.

The Great Fish Community Challenge has been instrumental in creating community awareness and excitement around supporting CASA FOR KIDS OF FLATHEAD COUNTY, along with many other wonderful local non-profits. It has also enabled us to reduce the number of fundraising events we host every year and focus that time and energy on fulfilling our mission of providing an advocate to every abused and neglected child in Flathead County.
