Building a Team for the Future

We’re excited to share recent leadership updates at Whitefish Community Foundation, including new Board and staff roles that will help guide our next chapter.

WCF team

Whitefish Community Foundation continues to grow and evolve in service of our community, guided by dedicated leadership and a deep commitment to local impact.

We extend our sincere gratitude to outgoing Board Members Sherry Lesar and Jeff Allen for their nine years of thoughtful leadership and service. Since joining the Board in 2017, both Sherry and Jeff have played meaningful roles in advancing our mission.

Sherry, alongside her husband Dave, was instrumental in launching the Kids Fund, which has awarded more than $750,000 to local nonprofits since 2020. Her passion for supporting youth in our community remains strong, and we’re grateful she will continue serving on the Kids Fund Committee.

Jeff has generously contributed his time and expertise across several areas of our work, including the Grants, Kids Fund, and Investment Committees. He has also been a strong advocate for the Montana Tax Credit, helping expand opportunities for charitable giving in our region. We’re pleased that Jeff will remain involved through his continued service on the Kids Fund Committee.

We are also excited to welcome Jen Stein to the Board of Directors. As Principal of Edgerton Elementary, Jen brings an invaluable perspective in education and youth development. We look forward to her contributions, particularly through her work with the Kids Fund Committee.

In addition to Board leadership, our team is growing as part of our strategic plan to better serve both donors and nonprofit partners. We’re thrilled to welcome Molly Wright as our new Marketing and Communications Manager. Jill Seigmund has stepped into the role of Director of Programs, and Lynnette Donaldson now serves as Chief Development Officer.

Together, these leadership transitions and team expansions position Whitefish Community Foundation to deepen our impact and continue building a stronger, more connected community.
