One of Jean’s greatest talents was making every person in her life feel special. She incorporated this talent on a daily basis as an irreplaceable partner, mother, friend and teacher. Jean worked with children in many different capacities and spent more than 25 years teaching in the Olney-Bissell School District. Her great joy in life was teaching and working with children.
The Jean Atkinson Driggers Scholarship Fund was established at Whitefish Community Foundation in 2021. One $2,500 scholarship is awarded annually to a student who attended Olney-Bissell School and intends to enroll in a post-secondary educational institutional in the coming fall. Applications are accepted January 30 to March 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
